此次亮相的大众奥运车是大众汽车为专门为北京2008奥运会度身打造的工作车型。据悉，身为奥运合作伙伴的大众汽车，将在2008年向北京奥组委提供多款工作用车，来帮助奥组委进行各方面的工作。为此，大众汽车特地从德国请来了著名的汽车设计师，专门为2008北京奥运会工作用车设计奥运车贴。"Olympic Edition"将浓浓的奥运情结表达得非常鲜明。
